Hi from Wisconsin

Hey guys and gals, I'm really new to this cigar stuff. I've only smoked a couple but I think it would make a good hobby. I'm a college student with federal loans burning a hole in my pocket. I also wanted to wait until it got warmer. 40 degrees yesterday!

My birthday is on Sunday, so I'm building a tupperdor to celebrate. I have no idea what I like, but I figure some people here have good suggestions as to what I can fill it with.

Also, any good websites I can check out that will help me not look like an idiot when I'm smoking?

I didn't even know that existed. It's kind of a ways away from campus though. All I know of is Knuckleheads and Pipefitter. Can you suggest more places in Madison?

That's the only cigar shop I have been to in Madison. Over towards Milwaukee off I-94 is Lake Country cigars in Delafield. They have a very nice selection also. I live up in Wisconsin Rapids so I don't get down to Mad town nearly as often as I would like.

Welcome. Just find a local store, they should be able to direct you. Try different smokes out and see what flavor profiles you like. Most people start out mild and work there way up.
