I figured that Coffee and Milk would screw with the flavors of the cigars.... Maybe I am wrong?
Having an affect on the flavors isn't always a bad thing. I'll drink coffee, beer, wine, and other things. When paired right, the drink will make the cigar better, and the cigar will make the drink better. Too bad it doesn't always work out that way.

Drink what you like... whisky(bourbon/rye), whiskey(scotch/irish), rum, tequila, cognac, port etc... plenty of lovely libations and they all have there place in my heart!

I was curious as to what everyone thought was a good liquor to drink while smoking a cigar. I have heard everything from whiskeys to scotches to bourbons. I usually don't drink anything while smoking a cigar as I know that it may affect the flavor, so I thought I would pick the brains and taste buds of the community and see what everyone thinks.

I don't drink anything. Every cigar I smoke is one I thoroughly enjoy or I quickly get rid of it. I find that I enjoy a cigar most when I take my time and it's just a cigar and myself.

I love a little scotch with my cigars but nothing to overpowering.Always keep a bottle of
Auchentoshan Three Wood in the house. One of the few lowland scotches left.

Whatever's on tap. Stella at the moment. Stone IPA in the next few days. I also like water, and Sprite seems to go well with most cigars.

I'm a sucker for a good port. A local label, Meyer, is a favorite. Currently drinking a Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout with a 601... a little slice of heaven!

Coffee compliments, and I mostly do capachino's that has milk in them. Milk is one of the best things for cleaning your palet to pick up more flavors. Keeps a build up of old and strong flavors from hiding the new or more subtle flavors.
