I only had it for two years. I did some quick research and ended up with a brand new Sony Bravia LCD 40". I heard a loud pop, saw my cat jump, then looked up and I had sound but no picture. I immediately search the internet and found this to be a common issue with my tv. Multiple people claimed they payed a bit over a hundred to fix it and it did the same thing again after a few months.

I have to say that I do like the LCD better and after reading that LG's quality isn't the best will stay away. I then told my wife this is why I save money like I do (she calls me cheap) I was able to pick up a replacement TV without financing it.

Glad it worked out for ya. I prefer the LCD anyway.
I do too. I hate spending that much money, lol. It took me two years before I could justify buying a box of cigars over a hundred. Even worse when I bought the box of LP 9's, lol. Great cigars and no regrets I guess I am cheap. I always tell my wife it will work out for her as I will leave her more money when I die.

I would go with a samsung hdtv (personal preference) because I have never had a problem with them and the picture quality is excellent. Sonys are also nice hdtv's.

I have a samsung LED lit LCD and I love it.

I went to PC Richards, told them I would think about the tv which was on sale that day. They offered $150 off the price, then turned out they just had one left and it had a hole in the box. Let me inspect the TV and took another $100 off for me to take it.
Wasn't as cheap as plasma or regular LCD but it looks awesome and is low power consumption.

Shane, I've had my Sony almost three years now and have never had any problems with it.

I have a Sony Bravia 32" in my bedroom and it's still going strong after almost 2 1/2 years.
