with 4 canisters, you can place 2 on bottom and 2 on a middle shelf. That would be how we set up an Avallo. if for some reason that does not work out, you could do 1 on each shelf. nothing is set in stone. on homemade type humidors, sometimes adjustments need to be made.

Along with airflow, another thing to consider is ease of filling the canisters. Of course function is job one, but when it comes to filling them, you'll be happier if you consider keeping longer wires to pull them out, or make sure that they can come out on a pull out shelf. A filling canister with a long piece of appropriate size hose works well too.

Chuck is that a conversion?
Yes. I was a customer TV cabinet we had built in CT. My son lined it with spanish cedar using the floating method and then built four shelves. He took off the original doors as there was a lot of space near the top that would be hard to get in to. He removed the panel in the front and built two new door with heavy glass inserts. He sealed the entire cab before the lining was installed.

Wade was kind enough to sell me the accumonitor some time ago. Now it is all coming together.

Thanks. Had not thought about that. Where do the little extra fans go?

the little fans are placed evenly throughtout the cabinet to help keep humidity even. Again, they can be moved to help fix a problem spot in your cabinet if need be
