I used to get three or four a year but I had surgery on mine back in '03 or '04 and have only had one since then. My sinus cavity openings are very small and that was causing the fluids to sit there and ferment, causing the infections. Now I can vacate them much more easily and no more infections.

Me too, 3-4 a year sound about right. I hate it, so annoying. And the fact that I have asthma makes it even worse! gah

It's all in the head. My dad got rid of it from one day to another... it was really weird.

Any how, hope you get better soon! I used to know of some home remedies for that... I'll PM, if you'd like, when I find 'em.

I used to know of some home remedies for that...
My uncle tried to get my brother to snort his own urine once (old country home remedy) 'cause he was tired of hearing him sniffin and sneezin all the time. I don't know if he ever did it - he doesn't get sinus infections any more...

Ew! That's nasty!... Don't worry CigarKid... The remedies I used to know are definitely not that.

NeliMed works great. I prefer the bottle to the pot, but whatever works for you. Anyway, a sinus rinse is the first thing my ENT recommended, and I've been noticeably better since. Still not good, but better. I have chronic sinusitis, but haven't had an actual "infection" since I started using NeliMed daily (about 6 months).

I had 2 since december. I am wondering if it was from how much I was smoking. Not sure if it was the cause, but it definitely made it worse when I smoked during the beginning of the second one.

It took over a week to recover. All I could think of is how bad I wanted to smoke the whole time.
