Folks.

Feel a little out of place on this but wanted to throw it out there.

Every year, my company sponsors the Greys Reef Michigan Childrens Leukemia golf outing. For the past 5 years we have held it at the infamous Indianwood Country Club on June 21st, which we have been able to fill 2 courses and have them doubled up on the tee's. Great turnouts.

This year, based on the economy, the turnout is a little less and the donations are following that lead. We still intend to have a great turnout, but think we are gonna fall short on our typical monetary donation.

I was thinking that maybe I could solicit my brothers to help out in this event this year but feel very uncomfortable asking.

I would not have anything that I could offer up for your donation except the fact that you are helping some great kids that really need the help.

I had approached my local B&M's last year for either thier involvement in the outing or a box of sticks for the silent auction. What I ended up getting was 1 10 stick tin of NC Montecristos that I just gave away because I was too embarrassed to even ask someone to bid on them.

So, that being said. If you're interested I would be very greatful. If not, I am greatful you took the time to read my thread and wish me luck in providing the kids with everything we can to support them.

Feel free to PM me if you have an interest.

I'll let this run until the week before the event and provide a grand total to show the world how much we support these kids.

Thanks Again.

Scott

Many thanks to the following outstanding and caring brothers:

Funkejj = Humi packed with premies for the silent auction
Twenty5 = Cash Donation
PhiDelt = Cash Donation
Sofc = Cash Donation
Shuckins = Cash Donation
BrandonJ = Cash Donation
Terrantheman = Cash Donation and a basket of care for the kids
HDRoadglide = Cash Donation
Aquarich = Cash Donation
JP8 = Cash Donation
Soundwave = Cash Donation
Gunbuyer76 = Cigar Donation for the cause
NJCigar = Cash Donation

Cash Donations thus far = $375.00 Woo hoo.

Man, I'm getting all emotional. Can't thank you all enough. But I will figure out a way.

I've decided that I am going to hold a raffle for a box of sticks when all is said and done. It's the least I could do for your generosity (please do not use the kids as a way to have a chance at a free box of sticks-Donate accordingly). I will set it up as I near the outting and we will do it in chat.

Scott it wont be until later in the week but I will get you something out in the mail for this. A large Opus sampler or such. See if I have any desk tops still hanging around the media room.

I'd be happy to help. Is there a link for more info or a place to give?

I will see if my tech guy can help me create a link with the information I have been given.

But, I would be taking any and all donations and providing them under the heading of "BOTL" wether it be cash or silent auction items.

If I receive donations from BOTL, I will take care of advertising who and where these items came from to the bidders and/or Michigan Children's Leukemia Foundation.

You take playfail Scotty?
Of course. But as you know, don't include "cigars" or "donation/charity" cuz that just locks up the playfail. I would just send it and say "for the kids".

PM me if you need my ** addy.

Thanks.

Scott I could send a nice soup sampler, they always seem to go over well at these types of events. Just LMK buddy?
Never heard of such a thing. But whatever helps raise money. Thanks
Having received a large soup sampler recently I could see this being a cool auction item. Get a big basket and a box of fancy oyster crakers and present it well and it'll gain some intrest.

A little shameless bump.

Donations thus far:

FunkeJJ = Humi and sticks (for silent auction)
Twenty5 = Cash donation
PhiDely = Cash donation
Sofc = Cash donation

I can't say thanks enough. These kids bring tears to my eyes every year. They are in such need but carry themselves so well. Every year a few always say a speech and the whole room falls apart.

Thanks my Brotha's.

I would also add that cancer patients LOVE my soup... for some reason they are able to keep it down during chemo and it has a lot of fat and protein to help the body heal! Just shoot me a PM with your addy buddy and I'll get'er done!

Rather than providing multiple posts to show the support I am being given, I will be updating the first post with my thoughtful contributers.
