Dies, since that Noella Reserva probably had a year or longer of age on it your comment is right about having the NHC rest for a few months to be more to your current taste liking!Well, I smoked a noella reserva around noon then waited until 5 to fire up the NHC reserva. My opinion is that the Noella was way smoother.
I am not sure if these smokes are meant to compare, IMO they do not.
I would say that the NHC reserva tasted closer to a Padron.
Keep in mind that this is just my experience, I only smoked one, the time of day was later and that it has only been in my humidor for a few days.
Since I like my smokes smoother I believe that a few months rest will bring them closer to my liking.
Overall, I did enjoy it.
I am happy that you agree.Dies, since that Noella Reserva probably had a year or longer of age on it your comment is right about having the NHC rest for a few months to be more to your current taste liking!
The Noella Reserva is the same blend as the Tatuaje Cabinet Noella. The difference is the Oscuro Ligero wrapper that really gives this cigar an extra punch.I am happy that you agree.
Though even when I was going through the noellas when the were fresh, they did not have the dark abrasive taste.
I just love those Noellas. There is this hidden sweet spicy goodness on the very end of the finish that keeps me coming back.
I was speaking of the second release noella reserva. The 2009 release was wrapped with broadleaf. The Noella Reserva is the same blend as the Tatuaje Cabinet Noella. The difference is the Oscuro Ligero wrapper that really gives this cigar an extra punch.
I would have to agree. Even if they were the "same" the crop would be different.Pete was telling us in Nicaragua that Pepin sourced a very good amount of Broadleaf recently which was used in the NHC sticks and some other Tatuaje cigars that will be coming out shortly. So the broadleaf on the Noella Reserva and the NHC sticks are not the exact same I believe.
Dude that is just how his shopping cart is set up. It has nothing to do with him trying to market it a certain way to help it sell. The list price is what I set for the retail for the single stick....which I think is very fair and Dan is very generous to be giving a discount on that price......He could have raised the retail up to $8.88 per stick and given 10% off of that to make it look like you were getting a deal.I understand that, but it is worded to say list price, and our price which implies that someone else is selling them for more. Should say list price and box discount, or something of that nature.
Again not an issue, just funny to see the wording that companies use to help market their product.
FYI, The Wrapper on the Original Noellas Reserva from 2006 was Habano Oscuro. High priming but not necessarily Ligero. The Noella Reserva is the same blend as the Tatuaje Cabinet Noella. The difference is the Oscuro Ligero wrapper that really gives this cigar an extra punch.
