Managed to find a source for the new La Reloba and Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial cigars. Have a some of the Garcia Reserva Belicoso as well as some of the La Reloba Coronas en route. Hopefully, these should arrive by the weekend. Very eager to try both of these blends and they had both wrappers on hand in the La Reloba so I got a 50-50 split between the Habano and Sumatra.

Will try and post some pics once they show up and get some reviews up too.

Cant' wait.

Larry,

The Coronas ran about $90 for a box of 25. Both of these lines seem to be very reasonably priced; in fact, quite similar to the new Nestor Miranda 1989 series.

Thanks 9'er, definately sounds like damn good prices and Corona is my favorite size. I will check with my local B&M to see if they have arrived yet. Thanks again!

Larry,

Just a quick follow-up: These are actually a true Corona Gorda (5 5/8" x 46) which I am pleased to hear, as this vitola is my personal favorite.

It's interesting - I can't think of Pepin (or Jaime) ever making a true Corona (5 1/2" x 42) for their own brands or for their clients. They have made several that come close but I can't recall a traditional Corona ever being produced.

Having no room is a poor excuse. :scratchhe

You should have picked some up! The Reserva and BOTH La Reloba's are excellent!

La Reloba seems like it was designed to showcase the wrapper - the blend really allows the wrapper to be the star of the show - the sumatra is a bit sweeter & delicate while the habano is more like 'spicy cream'.

LOL In this situation it was not an excuse! Little to no room left ( I was supposed to condense a bit) and now my wine cooler wont even cool! There will be time to grab more lol

Please tell me this source is somewhere in Northern California. I am really anxious to try both of these sticks.

Being a Pepin fan on about half of their blends, I can't wait to give them a try. Always love to expand my horizons!

I picked up a handful of both at my B&M last Tuesday but haven't fired one up yet as they literally opened the shipment in front of me... so I wanted to let them settle a little. It's nice that my closest B&M is on an Indian Reservation which means NO TAX! :stretchgr
