I've found some other places that sell turning blanks. I'm going to start turning ashtrays on a lathe for myself, then eventually for sale if all goes well.

Check out www.woodfinder.com. That site can find anything for you. I too am a wood turner. I recently won Fine woodworking Magazines wood turners challenge. Partly due to votes from my fellow BOTL.
