A friend sent me a gift box of Padron cigars. And I enjoyed the different sizes. The 1964 Anniversay series box-pressed Maduro Corona was smooth with a cup of coffee, while I banged away on the keyboard posting more satirical pieces on my international weblog. It relaxed me.

To me you can't beat any of the Padron lines. Although, in the Anny's I prefer the naturals and in the x000 lines I prefer the maddies.

I second that! Haven't had a bad Padron yet! I'm currently stuck on the 7000 Maduros...

Padrons have become a go to for a great cigar. The x000 are great, but I'm eager to try a 45th or 80th at some point too. Should be great stuff.

Further input since on another forum I was requested to review more diligently. Frankly, I am not into the descriptions it tastes a bit like chocolate, with a bit of cedarish flavour.

My life is simple and like Churchill once said: I am a man of simple tastes, easily satisfied with the best. The Churchill website is on my website footer.

My prefence is basically complex combinations, medium to full-bodied cigars, smooth, rather than harsh. Then I can blow the smoke out my nose, or ears, or whatever orifice my body commands. The Padron 1964 Anniversary, box-pressed maduro corona was smooth, medium and a good burn with a long ash.

Continue the awareness Brothers of The Leaf...

ps. I hope I am not breaking any rules. No intention of spamming. But since someone asked about my weblog I included it. One can goolge Onward James or Edmund Onward James. And, I have several cigar stories and comments for your pleasure. Just type in the word in the top left search box. I smoke when I ride my bicycle, hence a short story called Stogie Cyclist.

There is not a bad stick in the bunch. My experience has been with the Anniversary sticks you want to smoke them w/i a year or so being that they are already aged. I did an experiment with a box of 26 No 2's and found that over time the flavor dissipated more than I liked.

Keep in mind, this was my experience so there's no telling if you or anyone else will meet the same fate.
