Need some advice from all you knowledgeable drinkers. Brother and i are putting out a small "Specialty Drink" menu. We want to highlight the liquor in the bar, which has never been a big seller at the country club. Oh yeah, for those that don't know, my bro and i are taking over food service at the local country club. serving lunches, banquets, dinners and the bar.
anyhow, we want to start capitalizing on liquors so we're going to runa small, easy specialty drink menu to increase the average check. i'm looking for ideas that can be easily mixed, if not mostly premixed and then thrown in a shaker, poured and served. here's what i've got so far.
Cosmopolitan - i figure we can premix the cranberry, triple sec and lime. add the vodka, shake, pour. i'll even try premixing it all and see how it comes out. if the ratios are good, it should be fine.
Mojito - the way i make mine, i can premix the lime, simple syrup, rum and store. when it comes time to make it, add the mint to a shaker, shake vigourously, pour, add soda water and go.
i'm thinking about developing a mojito martini. haven't experemented with it yet. anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking i'll need to figure out how to concentrate the mint, lime and simple syrup. maybe eliminate the soda? i don't know yet.
Rum Kick Martini - It's basically a souped up version of rum pnch. can be made totally ahead of time, portioned, shaken and served as a martini. this is the easiest one i've got at the moment.
you guys have nay other suggestions along these lines?
if you come up with a winner, there may be a prize...:chat:
