The way it usually works is members with tenure and positive trader ratings form a queue of sorts and then new guys post their interest in making a trade.
The trade can consist of cigars or a purchase. If you are new to the board and lacking in TCs but have a decent stash you can trade with the next member in the queue. If you are a new member but don't yet have a good sized stash or don't want to trade, you two can arrange a monetary, or otherwise, transaction.
Since all the new traders have little trading experience here on BOTL.org they will send their end first and then their 'sponsor' will send their end.
