LOL, actually, my entire basement can now be a walk-in humidor...holding at 60%rh and 65F.....

Curious if anyone else has this situation in the house....Not that I would store my cigars outside of the humi, but makes me feel a little better about not putting shipments directly in the humidor...

Maybe it is time to line the walls of my office (in the basement) with spanish cedar :)

Well a lot of cigar shops have cigars out of the display cases. If the conditions are good I don't think there should be a problem.

It's time you take a corner of it and make a small walk in for yourself Eric...

There's a reason why people keep beer and wine in cellars for aging. The earth is pretty constant temp wise and that will also keep the humidity fairly constant. Hell the temp constant is why geothermal heating is so efficient.

I know a guy who has a whole room that is that way. He stores all his boxes in there with a separate room AC and a humidifier.

All the walk-in where I work is a partitioned room with air flow cut off. Then they have four kenmore humidifiers and three warm misters for the winter. The humidor stays close to 70% it's all shelves. It's a big ass walk-in besides the CI super store I haven't seen anything as big.

Lol @ Bob.

I'll have to check my basement temp/humidity now; During the summer months it can become quite warm on the main floor of my house(without the aid of CA) while the basement remains cool at almost all times. If the humidity isn't too bad I may move my cigars down there, thanks for the idea!
