Metal cigar bands? Anyone else see this?

In the video they claim its to help protect against damaging the fragile wrapper leaf but that seems kinda backwards to me. Thoughts?

hhmmm... it's so you have a safe place to handle the cigar... BULLSHIT!!

I've smoked old cigars (way older than 13) that did not have issues from being handled.
Many Brothers have smoked 50+ year old sticks with no issues!

It doesn't look good at all. It seems way to big for the cigar!

Maybe a foil band or an aluminum band that wasn't too much thicker than a normal, paper band might look cool.
