Watched Avatar for the first time this weekend. Thought it was OK. The story was kinda slow and predictable. Not bad but not going out of my way to see it again. Also, even though the computer animation was incredibable it makes me wonder if these types of movies should just be considered cartoons. There is really only a small amount actual set "acting".

Watched Alice in Wonderland with my wife & son last night. It was ok - it met my expectations, but didn't impress me beyond that. I'd watch it again, but it just seemed to be missing something...

I felt the same way... either it just didn't get to a climax, or it did but didn't last long enough so that we can keep it with us.

I also saw The Road - excellent movie. My only criticism would be that the book conveyed a better sense of beauty in chaos and finding hope when all seems lost. I recommend the book first, then the movie.

Watched E.T. last night with the kids. It was their first time seeing it. This morning, the boy (4 years old) calls me at work to ask if Aliens have penis'.
