Yep, me being fat (according to the government's charts, I am dead already) will kill me LOOOOOOOOOOONG before the cigars I smoke do...

Actually, that is exactly what my doctor said. When I first met him I weighed 275 lbs, was hypertenive, high colesterol, adult onset diabetes and OH MY GOD, smoked cigars. He said, lose the weight, I don;t care about the cigars. 75 lbs later, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, no high colesteral and he said, and I quote..Enjoy your cigars but keep it down to one or two.

Well I also used to smoke both cigarettes and cigars. Tough time quitting the cigarettes, the cigars I could go weeks without smoking.

Can't complain about your daughter's concern; these days, it's refreshing to see that our kids are still our kids and that they care about more than just their cell, friends, car and stuff... My daughters are actually cool with it; they like seeing Dad excited about any new hobby! Gives them ideas for Father's Day, birthdays, and Christmas!

As far as my Doc's opinion - I go in a few weeks and will have to update the questionnaire. I wasn't a regular cigar smoker last year, so I never claimed it on the bio. I'm interested in what he'll say. When I told him I rode motorcycles occasionally, he asked, "As if your 9-5 isn't dangerous enough?"

I guess I'll tell him that smoking a cigar or two per week mellows me out and lowers my blood pressure.

Good post and info guys, thanks. My wife and kids are fine with my hobby, I think they just gave up. The grandkids work me over pretty good though :hammersma.
