Anyone familiar with these: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-1172-ActionPacker-Storage-24-Gallon/dp/B00002N6SQ/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1277311413&sr=1-7"]Amazon.com: Rubbermaid ActionPacker Storage Box: Home & Garden[/ame] ? Seems like a nice price, just want to know about quality/seal etc... A cooler at the size I want is out of my price range so this might be the next best thing...

It will be stored in a basement either way.

I had one of the small size ones that I was using on the back of my KLR650. To make it air tight you will need to use some weather stripping or something around the lip of the container for the lid to seal well. Otherwise it should do the trick.

**edit** Forgot to mention that Rubbermaid has the 8 gallon one listed on amazon for $36. I bought mine at Wal-Mart for $16. You might check there to see if they have the bigger ones.

I use a large and a small one to store and transport my camping gear. An awesome product for that, however not insulated so would not work well without serious modification for cigar storage.

Would a small one be ok for shipping cigars to Camdenton Missouri?

Look at Dog food containers... Matt (cyrann) told me he uses them, and they are cheap, and have an air tight seal, and are pretty big...
Shoot him a PM about it.

They would allow you to seperate your collection into four categories and if, like you said, they will be stored in a basement, temperature shouldn't be an issue. These should keep moisture at bay and keep the bugs out.

Bought a 120 quart coleman ice chest that seals very well on sale for $40 at Big 5. Bought a second with a broken handle for $25 at the same store.

I picked up a 150 qt Rubbermaid marine cooler at Sam's Club for $57. You might want to check if there is a Sam's in your area...
