So, how are you guys storing these monster Viaje Summerfest Torpedos?

Ideally I'd like to put them in a cedar box, but even a Double Corona or Prominente is shorter!!

Rather avoid using a ZipLock...

My opinion would be to just cut off the expossed filler. You really cant smoke it like that anyways and atleast you would be able to store in a more typical box and you could even use the cuttings as a packing for them. Just throwing it out there:scratchhe

Ciggy,

That is an interesting approach. I'd kinda like to keep the prosterity of the cigar, though. Especially if I gift or trade any down the road.

Thanks for the creative idea!

I now have THE perfect solve...

Dan from New Havana Cigars (from whence these beauties came) offered to send me an empty box!

Dan, many thanks....As usual, the great customer service comes through.

So, basically what ciggy was saying......is you should trim your viaje.

an airplane strip might help maintain "prosterity", don't ya think??

You already got a box from dan so this is a moot point but i would have suggested just using a couple tatuaje J21 boxes or some dress boxes and putting them in the long way. you could probably fit a fiver in each.

SORT of a moot point....I now like your idea better! I really think you should send me the J21 boxes. I can then empty that box into another box, and use the then empty J@! box to store my Summerfests..... :stretchgr

Did i say j21 boxes? I meant garcia Y vega boxes. You don't want that yucky cedar. you want that nice hard cardboard because despite what most people will tell you it's the cardboard that the beetles hate not the cedar. your cigars will be safer under the protective wing of the garcia Y Vega english corona box. i promise :)

My suggestion was based on the fact that he was going to smoke them and was having difficulty with storage. Had he said he was going to trade or sell I would have told him not to cut it. Although I'm not an idiot...thanks for the insinuation!!

LOL.....wasn't meaning to insinuate that whatsoever ciggy, I really wasn't. My post was more a "play on words" than anything.....specifically the word "viaje". Apparently a lackluster attempt on my part. Hell, I would've trimmed those suckers too, as smoking filler has no appeal to me.

well, only when I'm rollin' blunts Bob! ;)

otherwise, you got me...I smoke filler, binder, and wrapper. I'm not to imply I've never smoked "the shag" on a shaggy, but an inch and a half, as it is on this stick, is pretty extreme.
