Hello BurgerMeister and welcome to BOTL. I am sure you will enjoy it here. What kind of cigars do you like?
thanks! i already am having a blast on these forums. this is really an amazing resource and a fantastic meeting of the minds.

right now, i'm in an experimental phase. i've been smoking cigars for about 15 years, but i've only recently turned it into a once-a-day thing. before, i'd just enjoy a stick here and there with some buddies or on my own just to relax, but i've lately been learning to refine my palate and enjoy them on a whole new (to me) level. i just got my first humidor, learned how to prep it and use it properly, and am purchasing samplers to see what i like best (and to narrow down potential box purchases). i'm into medium-to-full bodied smokes, but i'm looking to try some mild ones to see what that's all about. basically, it's a whole new world to me and i'm filling my eager head with all the knowledge of the sages, as it were.

lately, i've greatly enjoyed the Oliva Serie V Belicoso, the Gurkha (gasp!!!) Micro Batch TPB-1 and C-10, the Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo, and the Cu-Avana Intenso, among others. i didn't enjoy the Gurkha Black Dragon. the Gloria Cubana Maduro was a Colossal FAIL. at this point, possible box purchases are the Oliva and Gurkha TPB-1.

i'm open to suggestions and recommendations, of course!

Welcome from the OC

If you like the Oliva V, the best value in the line is the Lancero, and for me it's the best cigar in the line as well. you'll get 36 sticks in a box for $100-$140 find them on sale and you can do it for $100.
