Fellas,

My NewAir 18 bottle wineador...

This One

It made the move fine (so I thought) and for the first 4 or 5 days here, was cooling to it's usual 66 degree top end. No worries at all.

Well, for the last 3 days, the hygro and thermometer has read 70 degrees. I even slipped my giant outdoor thermometer in there as a second opinion... I know, I know...not very scientific... but either way, it's about 5 degrees warmer than usual... and even if I turn the temp settings all the way down, still 70 degrees.

I replaced the battery in my Hygrometer/Thermo and still the same readings.

I will admit... that 69 or 70 degrees is a pretty sweet spot to have a wineador sitting on it's own... no external temp control unit needed... but the fact that it will not get cooler no matter what...that has me worried.

I know some of you guys have had these go out on you before... does this sound similar to your issues? Any feedback? Anyone need an 18 bottle wineador with custom drawers that won't get very cold?

Might be time to upgrade to a 28 bottle sooner than I thought. Thanks for any feedback fellas, I really appreciate the help.

In the troubleshooting section listed under "not cooling" it lists only 5 possibles below.
The ambient temperature is too high
The temperature dial is not set correctly
There is not enough room to exhaust heat
The inner or outer fan(s) are not running
Cooling node(s) not working

I'll bet it's the Peltier as Patrick suggested!

I suspect it might be the Peltier as well... but it's a NewAir branded unit... so parts might be trickier than other units...

You just need to match the wattage of the current Peltier. There should be a little wiggle room in matching the size so that it still mounts effectively to your heatsink/coldsink.

eBay has plenty listings for Peltier / TEC units.

Good Luck!!
