I attended a San Cristobal event a couple of weeks ago and upon leaving, I bought some Ashton VSGs. The owner's son gave me one of these Half Coronas to sample. I put it away with the others when I got home. I pulled it out Friday while I had a quick minute for a cigar. I have to say, this was a great little smoke! It burned razor sharp the entire time and the draw was one of the smoothest from start to finish. I set it down for a few minutes (a couple of times), fully expecting to relight, but it stayed lit and picked right up. I have never been able to really discern many flavor changes, but I did see a very smooth transition between smooth, buttery, nut flavors and an occasional hint of cedar. I haven't researched this cigar enough to know about its construction, but it held a tight ash for well over an inch and would have been longer had I not set it down to grab the phone. So, the marketing effort worked and I stopped in yesterday and grabbed two boxes. At less than $2 a stick, it's a tasty 30-40 minute smoke when time is short.
