Pepin's new tobacco

Got this from Pepin's My Father facebook page... looks like they are experimenting with tobacco to create something new and tasty! :thumbsup:

"Events are great, but the real work is in Esteli. There is so much to be done and very quickly we will be planting again. We are trying to hybridize some excellent tobaccos to produce amazing wrappers and binders."

When I was at the factory they told us all about the Limitadas being rolled by only the father and son. I can't wait to try one!

Yep... when our BOTL group was there they had some rolled already and they were definitely trying to keep them under wraps... literally! We were fortunate enough that Pepin allowed all of us to do a cigar rolling competition using Pepin and Jaime's tables in front of the factory! Talk about being nervous! LOL

Below is Kockroach on the left and me on the right rolling our cigars on their personalized tables...

LOL, We and many others have been using H2000 for years....Everyone just simply calls it Habano now.....

Yeah Larry,

The word H2000 was taboo for a long time. Some really great growers perfected it and learned how to process it. It's one of the best tasting tobaccos but early on it wouldn't burn at all. Now when we say Habano, it most likely came from the H2000 seed or a hybrid of that seed.

Thats saying it nicely...the stuff was virtually fireproof! LOL!
