The source was ghurka... surprising that the story was so positive...

I'm glad they're popular. People busying themselves experiencing their 100 lines leaves more of the good stuff for me.

My home shop doesn't carry a single Ghurka. They aren't missed.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I think I'm going to put together a press release. "I am awesome, I am the coolest guy on the block and everyone wants to be like me. And for the record, my shit does not stink." Source: me

when you see a Gurkha band on a cigar you know that smoker is serious.
:hysterica

When asked about Gurkha, Brian Thompson has been smoking them for three years after seeing the brand 'Black Dragon' in the Robb Report. "You smoke a Gurkha when you are looking for a guaranteed positive experience and you know your tobacco," as he puffed away on an 'Evil.' "Yes, it has become a status symbol to be seen smoking the Gurkha name, but that is not why I smoke them; I love knowing I can have a luxury that many cannot."

"When you purchase a Gurkha you know you're investing in a luxury experience."

Gurkha as an investment?? Damn, I must be missing out. Luxury that gives....

my favorite Gurkha is the Micro Batch C-10. it's a great afternoon smoke. other than that, the others i've smoked have been decidedly average. not horrible by any means, just average. granted, i haven't tried all of their lines.

it seems to me that a lot of the Gurkha hate is due to their marketing strategy. as i've said before, i hope none of those same haters are Beatles fans. :)

You know, I wouldn't have any problem with that article if it was on the Gurkha website. But the fact that it was disguised as a "news" article pisses me off.
If I ever saw something like this come from Pete Johnson that just might be the end of Tatuaje for me.

it seems to me that a lot of the Gurkha hate is due to their marketing strategy.

I think the issue is that their marketing strategy makes no sense. so much to the point where i wouldn't even call it a strategy.

They claim theirs is a luxury brand. Yet their cigars are massively discounted online. They've just about alienated most b&m's, charging them a fortune for cigars in these pretty boxes, but then they are wholesaled online in bundles.

To quote a favorite song: "You can't be a pimp and a prostitute too."
