Has anyone done their Submit an Offer!!! option on anything they have purchased there?

Is it a joke? lol

I submitted an offer on something between June 29th - July 1st. July 2nd I get the well written response of "how many" to which I responded with the number I am looking for. Then nothing..... Its over 2 weeks now and no response? Did I ask for too many? Too few? Should I ask for more?

I sent an email yesterday morning asking if my offer has been rejected or accepted and mailed. No answer... I would have gone elsewhere already if I knew for sure they werent going to charge me and send them to me causing me to have double....

Step up your game cheaphumidors.com, halfway decent pricing + poor communication does not equal success....

My wife bought my first humidor from them. Other than that I haven't done any business with them but the first transaction went really well. Wish I had more for you Justin.

Justin...

I've never done the "make an offer" deal with them. I have bought a couple of humidors from David, over there. Actually, I bought one, and my father-in-law bought one.

I had a major issue with my order. Granted, not a fancy humidor, but it was a gift for my brother-in-law. It came fairly quickly. However, instead of packing the box into a shipping box, with shipping materials, it was in the original box, with a very thin layer of styrofoam around it. It had gotten two dings in the mail. I contacted David and told him about the situation, and how to return it. I also requested a better shipping package. Well, I never heard back. A couple of days later, I got another humidor. This time, no dings, BUT it was, again, only in the actual box!! I emailed about how to send back the damaged one, and told me to "enjoy your new humidor". So, I was happy about the resolution, but was baffled by the lack of packing. The one my father-in-law bought for his brother's gift came in a larger, more protected package, though!

So, the dealings I had with them was fairly good. I mean, heck, I got a free dinged humidor out of the deal!!

That's all I got for ya, Justin...

Bought my first humi from them. Submitted a handful of offers but they rarely accept them, and I'm not wasting my time or theirs with ridiculous offers either. I usually offer between 5-7% less just to see if I can get a nibble...

I bought a humidor for my sister's boyfriend there during Christmas and didnt have a problem (besides the lack of proper packaging and lack of communication). There are some retailers that I will go back to over and over and tell people about every chance I get (Burning Leaf, NHC, etc). I can understand when a problem comes up, they come up everyday in my business too, but poor communication is just not something I can understand. Its like telling me that I am a customer that they can do without.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The offers are manually reviewed by sales, but it's possible that somehow your bid has fallen through the cracks.

I'd be happy to go over to the sales office myself and check on your bid, if you'd like to PM me any information you have on your bid.

We do our absolute best to keep our prices as competitive as possible, and we have the offer system so that you can make reasonable offers on products that you think should be lower.

I apologize for the lapse in communication, but again if you'd like to PM your info I'll look into it and see what I can do to expedite your case.

Exactly! That's why retailers like Burning Leaf and NHC are getting more rare these days. That's sad, too. I mean, with a poor economy, shouldn't you treat each and every customer like a king?? (or a queen, in Bob's case :stretchgr)

We do do our best. That's why I'm in the forums and we're available by a number of means.

I apologize for the lapse in communication via e-mail for sales. We're a small business that does a large volume to help keep our prices low. Dave, our owner, personally responds to many of our e-mails. I'm sure that if there was an oversight that we'll do our best to figure out an accommodation for you.

Haven't tried the make an offer option, but my dealings with Dave in the past have always been exemplary.

Looks like this is cleared up now.

I still think the communication between them and the buyer is sub-par.... We all need to work on something.

We're working on implementing a new ticket-based issue system which should streamline things quite a bit.

For some reason, the follow up that was sent by the OP in this case didn't make it into the inbox at Sales. Usually, it takes about 3 days to process a bid (again, they're done by a real live person who handles hundreds of bids a day. However, the OP is coordinating with Sales now to see if they can't work something out!
