I finally broke down and got myself a Cabinet. Before this cabinet, All I have used is a desktop but I really wanted to start storing full boxes. I went with the Lauderdale cabinet from Tampa Humidor and a Hydra Humidifier. Once I get this thing seasoned, I will put about a pound of beads in as well to control swings in humidity from opening the door or whatever else may cause swings. I cant wait to start filling this thing up!

very nice!!

love the fact that you can grab a smoke when you roll out of bed!!
If I slept in this room, then for sure! This is in my cigar room, there just happens to be a bed in here that no one ever uses. There is a big sleeping bag covering it to the bed relatively stink free (works surprisingly well for when I do have a guest over that needs to sleep in here. Never had anyone say the bed smelled like cigars).

Wow...I heard of having comfy chairs in a smoking room...but you take it to another level with a bed in your smoking room!

You are the man!

Very nice... and ditto on the hydra. It seems that they would be a great solution for a larger cabinet provided they do what they claim to.

How long does a cabinet like this take to season? I figure if i keep the humidifier cranked up for the rest of the week, put in the beads, then I should be ready to go as long as its holding around 65-70%.

Pretty much, the rule of thumb I keep hearing is its seasoned when the humidity reaches % and holds it for at least 24 hrs...

One of my cabs is about that size and it took about 7-9 days. But again like stated when the hum maintains. Depends on where in the house and conditions. Also when you start adding in the smokes you may get some fluctuation.
