I was thinking of a template that I could use that would have a breakdown of tobacco used for filler/binder/wrapper with country of origin. Construction/veins-seams/pre-light aroma then tastes and transitions for first, second, and last third with a spot for overall thoughts and maybe a place for the band too.

Ill make one up when I have time and post it on this thread, but in the meantime if anybody has one they'd like to share Id love to see it.

Thanks for digging that up for me, much appreciated.
i came up with a couple different styles for a cigar journal. Just never seem to be able to keep one. maybe i should make it my new years resolution.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I plan to keep it where I indulge so it wont be "out of sight, out of mind"

Here's an Excel sheet I made up to use.
This is perfect! Thanks. My excel trial version is out, but when I get to the office Im going to add a spot for binder and filler. Ill add it back to the thread if people want a version like that; if you dont mind of course. SCORE!

Great job on that sheet, Tim! I'm glad I'm not the only spreadsheet nerd, around here. Everyone makes fun of my cigar inventory/notes spreadsheet I made!
LOL, yep, I get made fun of for all my spreadsheets too. Oh well. :crosseyed

It looks like I did password protect the sheet and for the life of me I can't remember the password. I've tried every one I can think of and it tells me I'm wrong... oops.

I usually just smoke em... If I am curious and don't know the binder/filler/wrapper I'll look it up in my Perelman's guide.

I always used an intro/general info/description/prelight/light/1st/2nd/3rd/retrospective approach for all of my reviews... I tend to write up my reviews more akin to a story about the smoking experience rather than just tasting notes, so depending on what you aim to do that may not be the best template to follow.
