Not to highjack Bobs thread "think and opine" I thought about the responces and wondered just how much aging time are we talking about.
So maybe a question for all BOTL is to ask opinions on thoes who have aged cigars.
What is the amount of time you've rested your CC's and glad you did?
What is the amount of time you've rested your NC's and glad you did?
Or
I have aged my CC's for _____ years and wished I just smoke them off the truck.
I have aged my NC'c for _____ years and wished I just smoked them off the truck.
Please state the time you've let them rest! Your opinion and what brand if you can please!

I age all my CC's for 2+ years before i consider them as a regular smoke...the few exceptions i have is the partagas salomon which i'm aging and enjoy currently with less than a year on it, and mag 46's which are good to me with less than a year...i smoke my cc's once per 7th month period testing the boxes aging process and adjusting how long they need to age to suit my personal wants and needs.

I age tatuaje brown, opus x, padron anniversary, vsg's, la flor double ligero and a few random la flor, la riqueza, and a few others for 1+ years and smoke all of them fresh also...i smoke my aging sticks once every 4th month testing the boxes aging process and judge according to how i like my sticks.

The only things I have "aged" myself have been;

Partagas Series S Preferido (NC), I got the box back in 9-07 when I was smoking them a lot. Today the flavors are much better that I can tell, it is a mild smoke but I am getting very good flavors so I do not mind that.

La Aurora 100 Anos Belicoso (NC), I got these at the same time 9-07 this was a splurge for me but I loved this smoke so much I just had to have a box. I have some left but the last one I had was about 8 months ago and even then it was getting better flavor. The strengh has seemed to weaken but the flavor is awesome!

That beeing said, I have smoked with others who have a much better ability to pick up flavors and I have smoked a cigar with them(each of us smoked a CC from his same box that he bought) I thought the cigar was great but he said it still needed more time. I am not going to debate that at all.

In the end if you like them fresh and can't tell a bit of diffrence, just smoke em all!

Enjoy.

Same, like 2 peas in a pod. With exception of brands and rotation. But basicly the same as Ben. I rotate mine in the humi's (desks @ cabinets) every 3 months. That may be overkill though, just a habit. I rotate top to bottom, right to left.
