OK...never had one of these and it was recommended to me at the B&M that I was at the other day. I got one and to try. I have heard good things about Oliva, so we will see. I have no clue what to expect here.

As I pull it out of the wrapper, I get a scent of sweet tobacco. The foot gives off an even stronger scent of the same. No bulges and stick is smooth with a nice sheen to it. Medium brown wrapper with no big veins in it at all.

Pre light draw is not to easy, not too hard. I get a taste of earthy woods and leather with the draw as well as the nice tobacco flavor. Even a bit of pepper...

Let's light this puppy up and see where it takes me.

As I toast the foot, I get the smell of leather and a woodsy smell. The first draw is smooth with a hint of pepper and cinnamon. No bite on the first draw, but a definite taste of black pepper.

Through the first third of the cigar, Im picking up hints on cinnamon and even what tastes like coffee. The Burn is pretty sharp on this baby...Nice white ash. Got about an inch into it and the ash fell off at that point.

You will be suprised to note that Im drinking...PEPSI with this stick. Im a truck driver, can't have alcohol in the truck. LOL. Suprisingly, though, the Pepsi is actually good with it.

Hmmm...just tried to draw and it had gone out. Maybe Im smoking this too slow. LOL. Im getting a little nic kick from it at the moment. Not a lot, but I am feeling a little.

Put some more flame to it and we are now golden...Coffee, Cinnamon, and pepper still prevalent through the first third of the cigar. After the relight, I am getting lots of nice smoke...almost creamy.

More in a few.

I started my love of cigars with the Oliva O. I have not had one in a while, but remeber if being a great good value cigar.

BTW Dr. Pepper goes great with cigars.

1st third down. Still hints of coffee, a little leather and cinnamon...a good spice is kicking in right now. Pepper for sure but something else that I cant quite place. Let's see if it comes to me soon. Getting a little earthy as well. This puppy is somewhat complex to my noob palate. Starting to taste a bit of just plain tobacco that is lingering now. The coffee is diminishing, but still there.

I KNOW WHAT THAT SWEETNESS IS!! Carmel.

The ash is pretty white on this stick. Not flaky and with hints of grey in it. It is also hanging on for a while. After the first inch dropped off, none has since.

Almost halfway and the coffee has given way to that woodsy, earthy taste. Mild tobacco and the pepper is starting the intensify. A little spice on the tongue and the tobacco is lingering.

Halfway point and Im not liking it as much as I did. Still enjoyable, but the sweetness is gone and replaced by a leather taste. Maybe Im not doing something right, who knows. Definite pepper here as well. Tasting a spice on the front of my tongue. Nicotine? Not sure, but it is definitely kicking right now. The spice has a burn to it for sure.

More pepper and earthiness now...still a smooth smoke and not harsh at all, other than the spice that went away. Coming down the homestretch now...let's see where it ends.

Got about two inches left of this fine smoke. The taste came back to me and just that one part of it disappointed me. Ending with a real nutty flavor but with a little sweetness. Overall, I liked this cigar. Very nice flavors and not harsh at all...Would I buy it again. a HUGE YES!!! I do want to try the G now, though.

The O is a really good smoke. Some of my early box purchases were the original O's that came in toilet seat shaped boxed and had cloth bands.

And Dr Pepper really does go well with cigars!
