Afternoon brethren & fellow herfers,
I stumbled across this forum while looking for ratings on the La Perla Habana Black Pearl Maduro Robusto. By way of introduction here is a little bio:
There is so much I have yet to learn about cigars, but this I know, when my wife and our 6 kids, (3 boys, 3 girls & 2 spouses), gather on the back patio for a smoke it is a rich, rich time. We call it our "sanctuary time" and it has done more to draw us closer together over the years then any other activity I can think of.
Cigars are one of my "few" obsessions. No, really! Ask my wife, she agrees!
I look forward to learning more about the noble leaf from you guys.
Cheers,
Dan

I love dark "coffee flavored coffee", dark wines, rosewood guitars, fast European autos, fine cigars and this one particularly beautiful brunette.
A good friend of mine re-introduced me to cigars with a Monticristo NO. 4 some 6 years ago now. Been falling more in love with the leaf ever since. Some of my favorites are CAO Italias, Oliva V, Gurkah Legends, Nubs, Partegas D4s, P2s, Serie Connoisseur No. 2, Monti Edmundo, Bolivars, Vegas Robaina, Trinidads, Punch, etc, etc.
The libation of choice varies, here are some current favorites: Van Winkle 12 yr single barrel bourbon, Don Edwardo Tequila, Port, MacCallans 15 yr Cask, Lagavulin 16, Glenlivet Nadura, Malbec, Cab Sav, the darker, more malty ales, (even a dirty martini from time to time), and of course a tall glass of water.
