Padron continues...

Looks like Padron is making good on its idea of continuing the family reserve line with the Padron Family Reserve 46. A corona gorda but quite a bit thicker than the traditional cg, a 5 1/2 by 56. Prices look to be around the same as the 45. On sale September 8th; they're sure to sell well and cause a lot of us financial pain and smoking bliss.

Padrón's always presented very nontraditional vitolas, this one being slightly bigger than the '26 No. 9 (5 1/4" x 56), considered a robusto and which happens to be one of my favorites. I'm on board for this one....

I'm a fan of the big gauges, so this is pretty neat! Doesn't look like it's very popular though.

Sometimes I feel like big ring gauges are terrible. I look at most cigars and they are all 50+ and I think damn I don't have time for those or that it is a terrible selection. I then look at my wishlist and realize that they are all 50+

I'm sure it will be an awesome smoke... and I'm sure there are plenty large RG cigars out there, I just don't like smoking them. I don't chew on the end of my cigars so I can't smoke them without holding them in my hand. If I'm reading while I smoke, it is a pain in the ass.

This is more of a robusto gordo. I was so excited when I read corona gorda... then I saw the size. I'd be happier with a churchill if they want to use the extra tobacco.

While 56 is a huge ring gauge i actually don't mind the 1926 #9 and this is pretty much the same size.

I like Pardon smokes, so I will have to try one for sure when they come out. A large ring cigar can be combersome but if it's from a great cigar maker there worth a shot in my book.
