Pissed off and depressed...I need to rant.

Guys, Im sorry if this is not appropriate, but dammit, I need to rant to someone and have no one else except the soon to be wife.

Most of you know, Im getting married at the end of the month. NO ONE...let me say it again N-O O-N-E from my family is coming to the wedding. It's like I dont even HAVE a family except for Mrs. Tiger and HER family.

They have known about this wedding for over a year now. My niece and nephew (Who I do not blame nor hold anything against) was supposed to be IN the wedding. My sister called me and said that her husband's daughter from another marriage is coming to visit during the weekend of my wedding and they wouldn't be coming. This includes my niece and nephew. Well, I find out today that my sister LIED to me about her stepdaughter coming. I know she lied because I asked the stepdaughter personally and she said she wanted to come soon, but didn't know when. Probably in November.

My mother claims to have a bad back so she "can't come", yet she can ride all over creation with my sister with no problems.

Im sorry guys...Im just pissed off. Im hurt and depressed. This is making my wife cry, making us scramble to find people to fill their shoes for the wedding party, just a sad sad state of affairs. Yet, IM the one they run to when they need something. Anyone ever wanted to just divorce their family? I might as well...I have no use for them any longer. Im done.

Sorry to hear bro. I know it's easy to say, but just be happy with the people that care enough about you and your wife. You will have a new "family" after your wedding day and just look forward and make the best of it.

Not in this case, man. We offered to come and drive them down or pay for their gas. The fact is, they are ignorant people and I honestly think Im adopted. I just have so much more class than that, if I must say so myself. Whether I had the money or not, I would FIND a way to be there, because that is what you DO.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that, I can just imagine how let-down you feel. Truly, I'm sorry to hear that.

But just remember this, the ones that go to the wedding are those that care enough to celebrate your union with your lovely woman, and with her family being there I'll say that they care very much for the both of you, and they will soon be your own family.

Yeah that sucks, I wish the best for you and the wifey to be. We had some serious violations of family coolness and trust surrounding our wedding as well (my family), but do not want to thread jack you. Just know that with time, this will pass, and you will still love the people who have wronged you, remember it is hard to cross a burnt bridge. But the conversations with you wife, about these violations, will continue for years.

You know what, My wife's family is like that so I had the the same thing happen but opposite. She took it kinda hard but we got through it. The most important thing is that you have each other, this is just another one of those trials & tribulation, turbulence points in your lives! Life is too short to worry about what you don't have, or what didn't go as planned, or what happen then....no what I mean cherish what you have, think about the plans you have for your future, remember the things in life that made you or makes you happy! I bet alot of them have something to do with your future Wife. Family.......hey sometimes they let you down don't let them keep you there unless you like smoking on your back. Let it out, then get that ball rolling man!
