Do you find that smoking cigars affect your workouts? I read somewhere that Jordan used to smoke a cigar right before every home game. I would die... I guess I'm not the top 1% in fitness and genetic endowments as Jordan was/is.

I find if I smoke at most 2-3 per week I don't feel too horrible during a workout, but i would never smoke right before.

Anyhow... welcome to the board
I really don't think it affects me at all! But keep in mind, I'm a bodybuilder so I just lift heavy weights. I don't smoke and then go run around a court or a track or anything. There's been many times I've gone to a local shop on a Sunday morning and had 1-2 cigars then went RIGHT to the gym and lifted. During my "offseason" I'm lucky to have 1 cigar a week. But when I diet for a contest I have several a week. I feel it curbs my appetite and relaxes the hell out of me.

welcome! good to have ya!

never been to Chicago, but i have a couple of very good Chi-Town friends that made me love that city without ever stepping foot in it.

a diet question: would you consider the Chicago Dog the healthiest version of the hot dog out there? by the way, i don't consider veggie dogs or soy dogs or other such dogs as true "hot dogs," so you can't include them in your consideration.

love them Chicago Dogs!
Thats a great question. I can't honestly say that its the "healthiest" but Chicago for sure has the best tasting. And if it tastes great, who cares how healthy it is. Its a hot dog, it shouldn't be healthy. And as far as turkey dogs go, they aren't much better for you than a regular hot dog. If you ever come to Chicago make sure your friends take you to Portillo's or Gene and Jude's for some dogs. Portillo's has the best chili cheese dogs I've ever had. Period.

I don't by any means think I'm ready to compete for a NPC show. But, I do workout regularly and have a fairly strict diet. But, when I smoke I feel like it should be on a cheat day because I want to eat everything after I smoke! Just goes to show you that everyone is different :chat:

Hey Paul! glad to see you signed up. You definitely need to make it out to the La Flor event on the 20th at the leaf!
