I recently misplaced my Colibri punch lighter. I used the punch on pretty much everything with a rounded head. I have a couple of guillotine cutters that are not the sharpest as well. In lieu of my punch i have been using a cigar knife to slice the end of the cap off and found it to work very well. It creates a fairly clean cut. Any thoughts or preferences?

Pa,
I'm a double guillotine kind of guy. I have a palio as my number one and a couple xikar scattered around as back ups.
I haven't really explored other methods so I could be missing out.

I like the table saw, but it seems a bit cumbersome for on the go . I use a generic double guillotine, but plan on getting a Palio one of these days. Before my current cutter I used a cheapie single blade guillotine and I'd have been just a satisfied biting the cap off . Never used a punch or a v-cutter. The punch you can't use on all cigars and the v-cutter just seems weird to me.

Cheap Guillotine Cutter, 2 bucks from ebay. Use them for 4-6 months and then throw away or give them to my nephews to take to school. Fun for the whole family.
