Hey guys...

Simple guy living in Austin, TX currently. I play ice hockey, drink good beer, and I'm looking at getting back into the cigar scene. I currently work for Apple and while it's not my ideal job and what I want to do, in this economy, it's something I'm happy with and damn good at.

Been smoking cigars for about 4 years. About once a month over the past couple of years, but I'm looking at seriously getting back into the game.

Seasoning the humidor, ordered a new digital hyrgo, and prepping to order a few samplers to get her restocked. Any suggestions are welcomed. Been a while since I've been looking around and tend to stick to brands I know (Fuente, CAO, and a couple others).

After a long week of work and hockey, I tend to like to relax with some rum, scotch, or good beers and a cigar. My personal go to cigar for a while has been Arturo Fuente Hemingway, but like most from AF's offerings..

Anyway, looking to get involved and get to know some of you guys from the community and get back into smoking regularly and smoking good cigars again now that I really have some semi-decent cash flow to enable me to do so. (Gotta have some luxuries despite the economy, right? ;))

Anything you want to know about me, just ask.

-C

Most of us are decent folk. ;) Glad to be here. I'm looking forward to restocking the humidor and getting involved in the community here. Thanks for the welcome! :)

Have you been down to New Braunfels yet? Gruene Hall is my favorite concert hall in the world. I bet I have seen over 100 bands there. Lots of good bands at the River Road Ice House too. I also love Shady Grove in Austin. That is also a great music venue.

Been down to the area. Never been to that particular place. A lot of my time is divided between work and the ice rink. When I get back from vacation after labor day, I'll be working my way to other places in the state. I've learned to appreciate good country music down here. I love Jimmy Buffett (fav artist, saw him in Frisco this year), so I'm good for some good poppy country music if that's what I'd be seeing down there.

I've played some tourneys in SA, College Station, and Dallas, and spent some time in Dallas.

Well try and make it out to Luckenbach for a beer on a hot afternoon. It is a town so small, they don't allow cars. You park outside and walk in.

Oh they do allow Harleys and Horses in the town.

what about my Yamaha YZF-600? Do I get to bring that or will I get beat up for not riding a v-twin? ;)

Man, the Hill Country is laid back brother. Anything goes.

Here is the post office

Excellent point. I might have to make a trip out. I really enjoyed Fredricksburg last time I was out there.

I do a drive each January with the Texas Stampede each year too (car enthusiasts group [I'm a navigator]) and we were through Leakey last year out towards the three sisters... damn I remember running those on the bike. What a blast. Have to do it again before I leave TX...
