that blue label DPG is a terrible, nasty tasting stick...send it to me for proper disposal. :stretchgr:eyequiver
My first thought was to buy nothing but these. I figured I would save all my fellow brothers from having to smoke such a horrible stick

Send me a PM with how much you are looking to get for them; I can probably secure a few more bucks

From one student to another.....well done on both counts.

If I could live on Padron Family Rsserve # 45 maduros, I would. Unfortunately, I've never even smoked one, but the review I read made me want to bob an old lady over the head like Jerry did to get the last marble rye bread on Seinfeld!

Thank you very much. And I have never smoke one either. I decided to splurge a little, especially with all the reviews I have read on the Annis from Padron. A little expensive? No doubt. But, I worked my rear end off these past few months and this was my reward to myself.

Best of luck with all your studies as well :cbig:

Yes, you deserve it and back atchya!

One thing I know, there is much pleasure to be gained from a good smoke, even if its by yourself reflecting on a week where one rose to the challenge of school, life, work, etc. :cbig:

Despite you now being a 'Golden Gopher' (this coming from a former Fighting Sioux), congrats ;) Since your consumption will probably go waaaaay down in the winter-time there, I think you've got a great stockpile to keep you going. Save the good ones for the finals and mid-terms, and I think you'll be okay!

Regards,
Randy

A very good point. And thank you! I got to attend a St. Cloud State vs Fighting Sioux hockey game this year. WOW!! You guys have some great fans. Definitely one of the best sporting events I've ever been to

Enjoy the hockey up there! I'm not nearly good enough for any of those schools, though I still have the recurring dream about playing D1...Then I wake up in my weekly beer league game.

Great hockey and great schools. :)

Do you have a good lighter, extra fuel, also how much do you smoke? Are you sure you have enough for 9 months? Looks like enough for me I only smoke 1-2 per week!

I have fuel. I'm still hunting down a good lighter, I had to give back my "loaner" torch. No place around here seems to stock Ronson.

How much I smoke varies each day. I may smoke 1 or 2 a day. I may smoke 1 or 2 a week. So we will see!

You need to line up some more (speaking as a student myself). I usually do a stick or two a week while reading textbooks, and then a few more a week doing "other" things. ...And for the love of god, do not waste your time with the DFH 90 Min. If you need an IPA, go with Racer 5 or Stone IPA. Those are widely available and both are more balanced than the DFH 90min.

DFH 90 is one of my favorite IPAs, but Stone IPA and Racer 5 will get the job done as well and are both great beers. Can't really go wrong with any of those three.

Favorite IPAs? Maybe I am just spoiled out here in IPA-land, but I can think of dozens of IPAs that I like better than DFH 90 Min: Green Flash West Coast and Imperial IPA, both the Russian River Plinys, Ballast Point Sculpin, Alpine Pure Hoppiness & Exponetial Hoppiness, Coronado Idiot, Bear Rep Racer 5, Drakes Denogginizer... I could go on forever.

Curious question: Was DFH 90min one of the first IPAs you had and liked? My buddies and I (who all work at beer bars out here) have a hypothesis that ones' preferences are partially effected by the timing in which you first encountered a beer or style of beer.

Have you tried DFH Sahtea? That is a seriously good brew... (sorry, way off topic here.)

Been drinking IPA's for over a dozen years and prefer DFH nowadays... Just like cigars, everyone has there own taste for things. Does it make us all wrong for liking a certain brand? Will I stop drinking it because you named off a dozen that you like?....wait... don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question.

Plus I get 25oz mugs of it for 6 bucks and get to watch hot ladies pour it for me, which really doesn't suck!
