Dear BOTL

Had some questions and wanted to get some input. I am sorry if this thread is in the inappropriate place or violating any rules. I also did not want to drop this into the deals thread because I have no idea if it is a deal or not.

So what I wanted to ask was if anyone has had any recent experience with JRcigars dot com and how you would rate them as a online retailer.

Also how is this deal they are running right now
http://www.jrcigars.com/index.cfm?page=septinsanity

It is for 12 Romeo Y Julieta Sevens for 29.95 .. does anyone have experience with this particular stick ? My noobness in all this I couldnt find anything about them "sevens", and I am sure it is because of the way I was searching on here or googling it.

quote from their site :
Wrapped in a gorgeous Ecuador Connecticut and then individually sleeved in aromatic cedar, these 7 inch by 50 ring gauge beauties are normally $9.50 each. Till midnight tonight, you can get them for THE SAME PRICE WE OFFERED YESTERDAY on the H. Upmann Sevens: ONLY $29.95!

The reason I am particularly interested in this is because I am always looking to try new things. I also am aware that diving into a pack of 12 before trying them might not be the brightest idea but wanted to still ask. Also I am starting to get fuzzy on the whole idea of what is a good deal because there seems to be so many deals out there and I do not have the experience to tell if it is or not and just thought the best way to learn was to search or ask.

Also it seems like they will be doing deals for the whole month.

Thank you everyone for your time, and sorry if the way I am asking is a little rough around the edges and sorry for the long post. I appreciate everyones input :)

Just a word to the wise, there will always be a "deal" going somewhere on cigars. If you want to try them and $30 isn't hurting the pocket then go for it. I haven't tried them myself but it really isn't that much of an investment for 12 sticks IMO.

I just ordered a box of Sancho Panza Quixotes and a box of CAO Brazilia Gols. The Gols are backordered but I got the Quixotes in about 6 days with no problems.

Thank you duwan and awhitaker, your input is greatly appreciated and am happy to hear that they are a good place to order from especially with the fact that they seem to be running a deal everyday for this month.

First off, do you like this size cigar? pretty big, and should take about 2 hours to smoke.

otherwise, like craig said, if the $30 ain't breaking the bank....

let us know how they are

Thank you for your reply and I have no idea if I like this cigar size since I am a super noob. While thinking about it I missed out on it anyways, but thank you for pointing out that aspect of it as well. :)

Nice find! For $30 I bought 12

I hope they turn out well and please let us all know how they turn out. :)

if anyone is interested todays deal seems to be

DAY 7: MACANUDO CERTIFIED VINTAGE 1993 NO. 5

ten for 76.50

way outside my comfort range for trying some out, but maybe good for someone who likes them. though I have no idea lol

Thank you everyone for reading and your time and responses.
