Howdy All:

I hope you are doing great.

So last week I decided to try the Bolivar Royal Corona which is a Robusto size cigar 50x124(4.9"). I have heard great things about these ROTT, this box dated Dec 09 and has been in my humi for about month.

A beautiful day last week so went out with a magazine, a Bell's Oberon and some bourbon-

A very fine looking smoke-

I decided to try something new and went with my new Wolf V-cutter-

A smooth even burn all the way through. I have not developed the tastes for all the different flavors but this was stronger then other CC that I have had and had a full bodied taste that was enjoyable.

You can see here the even dark ash all the way towards the end-

A very, very enjoyable smoke all the way through. The flavors continued to change yet stay more full bodied. I got a good hour and twenty minutes out of this which i would not have expected.

Next time shopping comes around two or three more boxes of these should be added to any list.

Best regards, tony

Nice review. BTW, did you just post your address in the first picture for everyone here to see? Not wise lol

Thanks for sharing. Great pics! I have a box of these dated Sept. 09... so now that they are officially a year old, I may have to go burn one...

Nice review! This is the only one of these types of cigars that I've loved that had less than 3-years or so of age. Smoked one out of the box in Mexico, it was fantastic!

Yeah. I said I was going to, and now I am. It may be almost 2 in the morning, but what sleep I will lose tomorrow is soooooo worth it now. What a difference a few months makes. When I first got these they were good, but still tasted pretty green. This one is absolutely killer. :assaultri:ccowboy::assaultri

These are great. I have a box from 08 and they are really on. I haven't tried the newer box yet.

Just found one in my humi and burned it last week because of this thread. Even better than the first time! Bolis have become my favorite marca now, it's official, Trinidad will have to be content with #2 :)

BTW, does anyone else think these RCs remind you of a Perdomo ESV '91? Not identical of course, but similar with cream, pepper, and dry wood flavors. With the ESV I get butter too, but they use much older tobacco than the Bolis. The RC is fuller bodied, though. Anyway, I recommend the Perdomo :)
