Great...they'll be released at the same time as another cigar I've been waiting to see hit the shelves. This is gonna be a baaaaaaaaaaaaad week for me cash wise. But I already have a box of these reserved. :)

As a padron lover, I wish it was not a 56 RG smoke.
While I'm usually a fan of larger RG, I wouldn't have been upset by something along the lines of a petite corona or maybe even a lancero...can't believe I just admited to that :wtf:. Hint, hint...just in case there's any Padron employees scoping this thread out :dunno:.

Begin Public Service Announcement

Tomorrow is the 46 year anniversary of the founding of Padron cigars. To commemorate this event the Padrons have released the Family Reserve 46, a 56 ring gauge by 5.5 inch powerhouse.

End Public Service Announcement

Have not seen prices yet but I am sure someone more connected than i can chime in. funny that I have heard nothing about these until now.....:wtf:

Mine shipped out today. They were $26 a piece.

Love the 44s, don't care for the 45 at all. Too much bite - tried to be too 'Pepin-y" for me. That said I am still interested in the larger format as it might mellow some of the bite.

I'd love a Padron '26-type blend in a lancero ... mmmm!
While i love lanceros i don't think they would be good for a family reserve blend. The greatest thing about the family reserve is all that aged filler leaf. Its the one time you want a more filler to wrapper ratio. Thats why i think this 46 is going to rock.

For those who care our review of the padron 46 maduro has been posted at http://smokingstogie.com
Wow...I had no idea that Brooks was taking on a Co-reviewer at the Smoking Stogie.....but then again, perhaps I'm late to this here news.

Either way, enjoyed the review Steve. I just wish you didn't like it as much you bastid!....LOL!

Oh well, I'll settle for the 5'er of 45th Maddie's I'm still sitting on, which I think is a pretty awesome cigar as well.
