The search goes on for a cheap everyday smoke that I can actually enjoy...

I'm amazed at how much my tastes have changed in just a few short months. Cheap sticks (5 Vegas Gold) that I used to enjoy when I first started no longer hold my interest anymore. Through my own searching, as well as generous gifts from fellow BOTL, I have tried a lot of good sticks, but I just can't keep them in stock all the time due to the prices. Lately, I've been having trouble finding anything under $5 a stick that I really enjoy. Comes with the territory I guess...

Is there no hope??? Am I doomed to a life of ramen noodles to be able to afford sticks I like?

What suggestions have you for a cheaper, yet decent (doesn't have to be great) smoke?

Had the same thing happen, where super-premiums began to dominate my palette. I cut back on quantity to up quality. I like most of what I have, but I don't enjoy it that often. I've noticed my tastes change more slowly, there are less half-boxes lying around I no longer enjoy. If there is a box purchase now, it is something limited that I can trade as I enjoy it, or something that is a go-to. Mainly singles and fivers...saves a lot of cash. And there's always cbid, where you can get a box of la riq no. 3s for about 35%-40% off the B&M.

Nick (smokemifugotem) included some Consuegra #83 i believe, and I f-n love em! People get offended when I hand them out, but I think they rule. Better than alot of so-called premiums I have in my humi.

trust me there are amazing smokes out there for under $5. The options out there, if you stay on top of deals, are pretty much endless.

I've found cabaiguans and DPG blacks for under $5. Let's not mention that 5 vegas and padron regular line are typically found under $3 per stick. Cigarbid just had a special for 10'er of 601 Robo Blues for 39.99. One of the top 10 cigars for 09' I believe at $3.99 a stick.

I suggest smoking less, but better cigars. I would rather smoke 1 cigar a week and enjoy it than smoke 1 a day and pretend that its good. I honestly cannot find a cheap (3/4$) smoke that I enjoy.

Over the years, I've found that smoking a wide variety helps keep things interesting. In fact, I can't remember the last time I smoked the same cigar twice in one week (or even two weeks).

There are quite a number of quality stick at $5 or less, so instead of buying boxes, buy lots of five packs or samplers. You can also save lots of $$$ via the auction sites (ya got to be patient though and know the value of the cigars).

OLiva V Lancero at $120 per box or less is a fabulous deal there are 36 sticks per box, making the $3.33 a pop, and they can be had on The monster for $99

Yeah... the cheapest I found was $145 which I thought was a pretty good deal. $120 would be FANTASTIC!!!

They show up on Joe's Jam, and the Cigar Monster for $99 every few months. They are available on a google search for $140 right now. so $3.88 per stick. You deffinatly need to wait on thing to go on sale. Make a list of smokes you want to buy and then wait until they are on sale. I believe the 2 boxes of V lances I have were purchased at $99 per box. They were both bombed to me, by crazy guys here, but My first box was bought at $120 by me.
