Tatuaje recommendations?

I've been lurking around on the board here for a few weeks, and after seeing all the threads about these cigars have decided it's time to try a few.

The problem is that I don't really know where to start. Can anybody recommend a decent Tat "starter sampler" to get me going? New Havana Cigars has several Tatuaje samplers in stock, including:

IPCPR 2010 Sampler

Highly Rated Sampler

And a few others...

Can someone point me in the right direction to Tatuaje bliss? I'd be interested in trying several across the different lines (red, brown, possibly black labels?). I'm open to other vendors or even 5 packs as well. Thanks!

Really can't go wrong with any of the samplers. I would think the IPCPR sampler would be a good intro to the brand though, covers several different lines.

This one looks like a good intro to the line

I gotta agree with Craig on this one because you will get to experience the "new" Connecticut Broadleaf cigars in that selection!

I would do the hunter sampler pack. The brown label line is the heart of the tatauje brand.

I agree that the brown labels are incredible. Hence the reason I bought the MOTHER of all samplers a few days ago.

But I started with a havana VI Nobles, then a brown label Reserva J 21, and that is all she wrote. It was suggested to me that I walk up the Tat ladder and I knew that I wanted to really explore the line.

All that said, you can't go wrong with any of the samplers mentioned. I just wanted to let you know another route. Who knows, maybe you won't like them. :widemouth

All I can say is start with the cheaper ones to get an appreciation, then go for the more expensive. I started with the Verocu Red Tubo (damn good by the way) and haven't found another Tat that compares. Then again, there are plenty I haven't tried yet. I've got a Black Tubo, Miami, Drac, and Boris in the humi waiting, not any cheaper than the Verocu Red Tubo mind you, but maybe one of those will be better.

Was talking with a fellow T-W at my local B & M and he said that the Boris is among his top three Cigars EVER. And he has an aging walk-in humi and two other 300 ct humis and knows his stuff.

I am curious to try one.

Suggest tat/pepin fans checkout the podman28 retailer event post on burning leaf's upcoming sept30 Pete & pepin get2gether. He's taking pre-orders for boxes and mixed samplers. Freebies, swag, and box autographs included, amongst other things. Am one happy pre-customer. Cheers!

I just had a Red Tubos tonight and thought it was pretty good but I preferred the Tat Havana VI Victoria over the Red Tubos. I actually opened up a box of Padilla Miami Lanceros and really liked it too.
