As far as i know scorcese just directed the first episode. Not sure if he will be doing more or not. Still awesome and comforting knowing he attached his name to the series.
I just watched it and I am so damn confused, so many characters, so many of them dieing in the first episode. Im going to need to watch it again and pay more attention. My RP Decade and bottle of cab stole most of my attention while watching it.
I really enjoyed the 1st episode. Can't wait for next week!

Yeah i loved it. The prohibition era is one of my favorite subjects and i have read a ton of books on it so it will be interesting to see if they follow history correctly. One error i noticed is they are calling charlie luciano "Lucky" already. History states that he didn't get that nickname till 1929 almost 10 years later when he was kidnapped by salvatore maranzano and survived. Like any show they have to take some stuff and just run with it. Can't wait for next week...I think michael pitts character jimmy darmody is going to be fucking awesome. he's got brains and balls. Also i can't wait to see how michael kenneth williams character "chalky white" develops. he's a great actor.
can't wait for tonight. Just an FYI for everyone...Boardwalk empire has already been green lit for a second season! The first episode was projected to attract 2 million people but 4.8 million people watched it! Awesome news.
