....
Not sure I agree. LOVE the annis and am happy to spend the $30 for them a few times a year (I have a local bm that is a promytheus dealer so he almost always has them). But it is so different I cannot compare it to an aged opus. Been wanting to put hands and fire to a Gran Anniverxario.

Okay, this thread got me curious. I pulled out a forbidden '04 and lit it up. Being a toro, it's got a bit more spice than the Perfection X but no real notable flavor differences. Awesome cigar. If they made forbidden petit lanceros, I'd trade my other '04 for it.

Perhaps a minor step up. I still say the ultimate step up are the Don Carlos Edicion de Annivesarios.

Is that not just an Opus lancero though?
Yep, but still a great smoke :ccool:
Correct, and correct. I did not care for the other Lost City Opus I had, maybe because it was young, but the regular OPUS Lancero is a fav. Besides, it had the Black Forbidden X band, that looks so dope. And we all know a cool band is all that really matters. right?

I've had 3 of the 04's and thought they were very mild and lacked any flavor. Compared to the regular line and even the Lost City (which I found very nice) they are rather and confusingly so, bad. I have 2 left and are letting them get more age, I've had them going on 3 years now. I figure maybe when they reach 5 or so I'll dig in again.
