I'm very excited this morning! I get to work, and have an email waiting for me...

I listen to WhiskyCast podcast every week. They had a fairly easy trivia question for the week, and I sent in my answer last Monday. First time I've entered it!!

Well, the email I had waiting told me I was drawn from the correct answers, and am getting a $50 gift certificate to ForScothLovers.com!! Now, decisions, decisions... I could find some nice Scotch to try on there, OR, since I can't really afford, right now, to buy a bottle of Maker's Mark 46... they have it in their online store!!!! BUT, a Scotch nosing/tasting glass is tempting, as well. I'll have to peruse the site more, at home!! (Since "alcohol" related sites are not allowed on our work system!)

Anyway... sorry. I was just so excited, I had to tell someone! I don't win stuff, that often!

Nice win! 'Grats. I say pick up something good you normally wouldn't go after.

Congrats man... very nice.

I would recommend getting something you normally wouldn't with the money. You can always buy a bottle of Makers Mark, but would you normally spend that money on a nice glass or a bottle of something unusual? You got free money, so treat yourself with something special or unusual! :)

That's what I've been thinking... the Maker's would be a good bday suggestion for my wife. Sooo... I'm gonna be looking for a nice, unusual Scotch and/or glass, I believe...

Ok,
So avoid the nosing glasses. I have two of them. They are fun to pull out and drink out of about oh once a decade or so! HA Seriously they are fairly difficult to drink out of and I totally prefer my scotch in a rocks glass.:chat:

Thanks for the heads up... Yeah, I have no issue with using my rocks glasses. I have some nice crystal ones that have a matching decanter, as well. I was actually going to ask about the nosing glasses. Seems more appropriate if you have tons of different Scotches to sample. However, I only have one at a time... and it's been about 2 yr. since I had any in my decanter!!
