The OG Tatuaje Verocu blends (East and West) have been on the top of my all-time favorite cigars list for a long time now. But I'm going to have to add an asterisk to the history books for these: *when they smoke

This is my 3rd of out the last 4 that has had terrible construction! I'm not sure if they're over-packed or just badly rolled, but they are too tight to smoke properly (they've been at 65% for 15-months).

So I roll the moistened cap area in my fingers--pops the cigar in 3 places! Crazy. I try my draw poker ... two more wrapper & binder pops! The cigar is basically falling to bits now, though I'm slathering on the pectin to try to save it. I'd say it's a fluke, but like I said this is 3 out of my last 4.

GRRRRRR!!!!!

I have had several that were too tight and had wrapper problems, maybe 4 out of the 15 I smoked. I do love them and made the ones that split work anyway. For me, being that I bought 5 here, 2 there etc. feel as though they were taken care of differently by the different people before they made it into my hands...

^ could be, though in my case I've had my cab for 15-months and my tubs are pretty steady. 2 of the bad Westies are from that cab, and the other bad one was an Eastie I bought from someone.

It makes sense, the first fiver I bought, I had to ship them to a different state where they were sitting in a frozen mailbox for a couple days. They tasted great and were very good, but I had some wrapper issues on a couple. They still smoked fine for the most part, no complaints. Since I bought my Cab a few months back, all the ones I've smoked have been perfect besides a couple minor touch ups here and there. They seem like they need more care than the average cigar, the wrapper seems to be extremely delicate to an extent. I've yet to have an Eastie w/ a draw problem though, everyone I've had drew perfectly.

Me too, like I said my #1 cigars. hense the frustration. I'd still get more Easties if I could find them, though.
Glad we could pull up a chair and give you the opportunity to vent Nate! (j/k)
(Even men need to get things off their chest every now and then! I should
know a good friend called me at 12:10am last night to do that very thing!):hysterica

I know how you feel though bro. I just deal w/ the wrapper issues and
keep smokin... I get very rich "cake" flavors from the Eastie.

Love hate relationship. Wrapper is so easy to tear but they are great smokes. When plugged it is a lost cause

Glad to hear this one worked out for you Nate...

Last time I burned an Eastie was Halloween last year. Might have to start a little tradition, and finish the night off with The Face :halfgrinw

UGH! One of the few CCs in my humi was plugged tighter than a.....anyway, don't want to get banned. Too soon, even for me.

This sucks. Cigars are all about enjoyment and often times the antidote to many of life's frustrations. When they collide, it sucks!

Glad the next one was a stone cold killer! :)
