Hey fellas,

I will be in Boston on Halloween weekend and wanted recommendations for a place to relax and smoke a cigar? I would like to visit Gloucester St Cigars but can you smoke in there? I'm thinking you can't...

The other place I know of is Churchills...

I am staying in the Back Bay Hilton and am looking for a place an out-of-towner would feel welcome, can maybe have a drink but it's not necessary and can maybe bring my own cigar. Even if I bring my own, I will buy something from the B&M.

Any recommendations on where to go on a Saturday afternoon would be greatly appreciated!

You can smoke in Gloucester. It's a nice small place. In North Bay in Little Italy there's at least one cigar bar, though I think the cutting fee is like $25 and their case stuff is $$.

Glouchester St. is a cigar shop, with limited seating. Nice place, nice selection, and friendly staff - but it isn't a lounge. They and Cigar Masters are the closest to were you'll be staying, maybe a five minute walk.

Stanzi is in the heart of the North End, with plenty of great Italian restaurants close by. Maybe a 20 minute walk, short cab ride, or a quick ride on the "T".

Churchill's is about them same distance, only a couple of blocks away from the North End, right next to Quincy Market. Very relaxing spot, and as previously mentioned, good for people watching. No cutting fee, very friendly staff, beer & wine only. The cigar selection leaves something to be desired, though.

Of those places, I personally prefer Churchill's (I have a locker there), but they are all worth checking out.

There is no drinks @ G street. You can bring your own in if you make a good impression. Also there is limited seating, but a great selection. Great Tat selection also. He might even find a tenderloin for you if you play your cards right. Hes actually on here now and then.

cigar masters has a very good selection, but they are spendy. Drinks are reasonable but there is only beer, wine and cordials.

Churchills I think also only has beer and wine, no liquor but has a limited selection. This is in a good location and you can really people watch.

If your staying in the back bay. you should hit cigar masters and gloucester st.

Id be willing to meet up if you up for it.

Is there a reason it seems most around here don't prefer Stanzas?

Maybe it's the aesthetics, maybe it's the loud ambiance, but of all the cigar places I've been in Boston, Stanzas takes the cake for me. :dunno:

idk i dont really care much for the north end and stanza straight robs you with their pricing, same with churchills and CM because of their locations. I guess I just prefer Gstreet over those ones.
