The OR is a smoother, more mellow smoke. Give the production version time to rest a bit and you'll have the same result IMO.

I'm sure JD can speak more to this...but my understanding from John Brook is that the blend didn't change at least six months before the show from the samples that were being handed out... he had no idea if/how many times Steve changed it before...

That being said... the wrappers definitely don't look the same color, but there are plenty of explanations for that...

To me the new wrappers are darker and oilier.

No dought to me (new one) a lot more spice and pepper flavor but a great complexity of flavors throughout.

Very good full bodied, I love it.

Yeah i think saka said the blend has been the same since around last february. The wrappers appear to be slightly different in color with the pre releases being a bit darker. I also notice the final release's wrapper to have much more tooth. As far as flavor goes i don't notice much of a difference...

I agree with the tooth comment... I had various pre-releases... let me find that picture that shows the wrappers don't look all the same... hmmm 11k photos to sort through... nvm.

I will definitely say I'd be shocked if this doesn't make it on my Top 5 of the year list.

I find the pre-releases to be a bit lighter in color regarding the wrapper.

yeah i guess it's just kind of a moot point when i think about it because even within a single production of cigars there can big major wrapper differences. It just so happens that the ones i compared resulted in the pre release having a darker wrapper.
