Never had a muniemaker, but I did not like the argyle, mild, and not much flavor and what was there seemed bitter.

Not sure what you are looking for, but in that price range I like Gisperts, Flor de Olvia, and Famous Nic 3000 and 2000.

No way I could smoke anything called a Munimaker ("Money-Maker").

I'm getting ready to order some daily smokes and I was up for trying something new in the "low end" price range, but I'mm probably just pull the trigger on some more Old Henry's.....

I know a shop that mainly sells to blue collar guys and his guys love them! (Munimakers)
I did smoke a Marsh Wheeling Lancero about 2 weeks ago... Pretty good smoke for 2.00
Even better if you buy a box of 50 for 50 bucks!:glassesgr
It reminded me of the one and only clear havana i've smoked so far....
smooth throughout w/ a "Bang at the End!"

Up until recently, CVS carried Muniemakers. Now, I can't find them there. I liked the four packs of Oscuro Brevas. I realize I can mail order a box of 50, but am curious as to whether any retailers are carrying these in the Central New Jersey (or almost anywhere here in Jersey) area. I like to stop in and buy a handful at a time.

Of course, I'm assuming Muniemakers and Toppers are still plentiful in Connecticut? I used to see them at every corner "cigar" store and luncheonette.

I'm reviving this long dead thread because I went to an estate sale this weekend where I saw hundreds of stacked Muniemaker boxes for sale. Next to that was about 30 boxes of all kinds of Fuente. All empty. He had a putting green and a small driving range in his garage and set after set of bags and clubs. Next to that was his small Corvette collection. I never met the man but I have much respect for this fellow. I'm now very curious to see what he loved so much about Muniemakers.

My guess is that he saved enough money on them to buy the clubs...maybe?
