To be fair to alot of guys on the board I think Eddie has been treated with respect here... most of the complaints are towards RP. I'm sure alot of you know why.

If RP is merely distributing and marketing the 601 brand, then I see nothing to worry about. Pepin is making the smoke... it should continue to be a good smoke. Like I said before... I'll take Eddie's word at face value, which is what he deserves.

Eddie Ortega has said that the blends will remain the same, with the exception of the 601 Red which he and Pepin are considering tweaking to make it stronger.

Oh, and the 601 Black has been discontinued.

And to clarify for the 30th time ... Don "Pepin" Garcia will continue to make the EO Brand cigars, for as long as anyone can foresee in this business anyway.

Thanks for the update. The black was my least favorite of the bunch so no loss there, but I love the Red as is. I guess I better buy some more...
