Does anyone have an opinion on how they like to cut Torpedos, Belicosos, or Pyramids? I've been reading some conflicting opinions via the web from some dodgy-looking sites, so I figured that I post it here to see what the Brothers thought.
This is what I do, though as Carl suggested, a V cut works pretty great on them too.I cut it straight and start small and see how the draw is. Then clip a tad more if need be. Not a huge fan of the slanted torpedo cut.
This is what I do as well. All in all, it makes no difference as long as you don't cut off an inch of the cigar. I'd suggest avoiding a punch, not very effective...I cut it straight and start small and see how the draw is. Then clip a tad more if need be. Not a huge fan of the slanted torpedo cut.
Yessir.Snip the tip, test the draw. If it's too tight, take off a little more.

Probably the best course of action in my opinion. Just cut small bits off gradually and test the draw each time to see if it is to your liking, its hard to go wrong this way.I cut it straight and start small and see how the draw is. Then clip a tad more if need be. Not a huge fan of the slanted torpedo cut.
Don't smoke many torpedo's but this is what I normally do.I cut it straight and start small and see how the draw is. Then clip a tad more if need be. Not a huge fan of the slanted torpedo cut.
+1Three snips with a perfect cut double guillotine (I use the LP9 cutter) and it's good to go.
Same here.Snip the tip, test the draw. If it's too tight, take off a little more.
