Aging new boxes question?

Hey guys I just bought 5 face boxes. My question is it comes sealed with celophane on the box. Do I leave it on or take the cello off the box in my humidor? Or does it not matter?

Sorry guys :hanghead: I was asking about the wrapper on the whole box not the wrapper on the cigar. If it can still age it with it on I will leave it on then.

does not matter, cello on the box or the cigar is not air tight.

OP, after years now, I have recently found it depends on the cigar. For all cigars I prefer cello cuz it does protect them! But on some blends being closer to the cedar really helps the flavors.
So recently when I get a box I take 5 out of cello, and after at least a week or month smoke one that was in cello, one out, and on till I determine if out of cello helped that blend. Just my .02.

Side note, the face coffin box to me has a unique smell, think it's a little different wood used? May just be the new Mex cigar wrapper.

That was sorta uncalled for. Unless you know him really well and can make that call. Can you Ryan? The cello debate here is huge and includes people with no boxes in their collection on up to people with more Opus X than Arturo himself.
